BCSO: Two arrested after 6 malnourished dogs found at West Side home
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Two people are facing animal cruelty charges after deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office say they found six malnourished dogs and a dead dog inside a West Side home.
Deputies responded around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday to the home near Bartell Point and Acuff Station, where the animals were found in poor condition.
Investigators say the dogs’ owners intentionally failed to provide food, water and proper care, even though food was available inside the home.
Animal Care Services took the six surviving dogs. Deputies also found one dead dog inside the home.
The owners, identified as 32-year-old Julian Salazar and 30-year-old Sarah Thompson, were arrested and each faces six counts of animal cruelty.
