The Last Survivor Pulled From The Rubble On 9/11 Shares Her Story
Genelle Guzman-McMillan was the last survivor pulled from the rubble after being pinned by concrete for 27 hours. At 31-years-old at the time, Genelle was working a temp job for the Port Authority and had made it to the 13th floor when the building collapsed on her. Thoughts of her husband, Roger and daughter, Kimberly, kept her wanting to survive.
She found faith in that rubble and prayed for God to show her a miracle. That miracle showed up in a man named Paul who held her hand in the final hours before rescuers reached her. He disappeared and no one else reported seeing him. She has written a memoir called “Angel in the Rubble” which was adapted into a movie, premiering on Lifetime September 12 at 8pm.
