This Organization Is Turning 9/11 Grief Into Good Deeds
GMA is shining a spotlight on an organization that aims to honor the lives lost 25 years ago on 9/11 through good deeds. David Paine co-founded 9/11 Day and the whole idea is to channel the spirit of coming together that emerged in the aftermath of that day to bringing people together now in that same way. To help each other.
The movement’s mission is to mark the anniversary with people pledging to do small things, like holding the door for someone, feed the homeless, or let someone go ahead of you in line. Or encouraging other groups to organize ways to impact their communities. Young artists are working on art pieces that help tell stories of those impacted by the attack. This year, comedian/actor Pete Davidson (who lost his father on 9/11) is helping with their Unite For Good campaign hoping to inspire a million good deeds.
9/11 Day is hoping to focus the day moving forward on the humanity that emerged from that tragedy. What is something good YOU could do today?
