Missing Autistic 6-Year-Old Found Safe In Eastern Kentucky
Roman Heilman, the 6-year-old who went missing in the eastern Kentucky woods for two days, was found safe. The 2-day search involved 300 volunteers, Kentucky State Police, the National Guard on horseback and on foot.
He’s autistic and the search party was told to sing his favorite song, “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, to let him know it was safe to go with them. His dog was with him. He was found naked, covered in scratches and briar marks, and suffering from mild dehydration, but with no broken bones. He was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
